Description
Smart BMS CL 12/100 is a battery management system for Victron lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) smart batteries. It has been specifically designed for 12 V systems with a 12 V alternator.
BMS CL 12/100 monitors and protects each battery cell (or battery bank) and will disconnect the alternator, charging sources or DC loads in case of low or high battery voltage or overtemperature.
The input reserved for the alternator provides current limiting and one-way traffic from the alternator to the battery, so that an alternator of any size (and starter battery) can be safely connected to the battery or to Smart lithium batteries.
The BMS also has a remote on/off connector to turn off the BMS (and the system) via a remote switch and a pre-alarm contact to give a warning signal before the BMS disconnects the batteries from the system.
