It monitors and protects the batteries against overvoltage and undervoltage in each of the cells, and also against very high or very low temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the state of the battery or batteries, the BMS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It will generate a pre-alarm signal to warn of impending undervoltage in the cubicle.<\/li>\n<li>It will disable investment in inverters or VE.Bus inverter\/chargers via VE.Bus and disable other loads via the &#8220;Load Disconnect&#8221; terminal in case of undervoltage in a cubicle.<\/li>\n<li>It will disable the charging process on inverters or VE.Bus inverter\/chargers via VE.Bus and disable other chargers via the &#8220;Charge Disconnect&#8221; terminal in case of overvoltage of a cell or too high or too low temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Remote on\/off terminals.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers via a GX device.<\/li>\n<li>Possibility to control the VE.Bus inverter\/charger from different devices, such as the Digital Multi Control, the VE.Bus Smart dongle and\/or a GX device.<\/li>\n<li>Auxiliary power input and output terminals that allow a GX device to continue to receive power in the event of system shutdown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The VE.Bus BMS is a battery management system (BMS) designed to interface with and protect one or more Victron 12.8V and 25.6V Lithium Battery Smart (LiFePO\u2084 or LFP) batteries in systems with Victron inverters or inverter\/chargers that have VE.Bus communication.
